School readiness groups
A fun and engaging group to help your child develop functional skills for the new school year. These groups are specific to kindy/pre primary and year one/year two and target:
handwriting
fine motor skills
gross motor skills
motor planning
attention, organisation, collaboration, problem solving and social skills
Social skills
Due to popular demand we will continue with themed social groups, these groups target the development of age appropriate social skills in an interesting and supportive environment. There will also be an element of functional skill building in preparation for the new school year.
Christmas craft ( December only) - (PP/year 1 and year 2/3)
Lego (PP/year 1 and years 2-5)
Minecraft (year 2/3 and year 4/5)
Pokemon (year 2/3 and year 3 - 5)
Crafty creators (years 2 - 4)
Executive functioning
Teaching life skills for daily success, confidence and independence.
These workshops are held over two x two hour sessions on consecutive days.
These workshops are specifically designed for children entering year 6, year 7 and year 8 in 2024
A practical approach to assist students with homework, deadlines, assessment preparation, routines, self care, organisation of materials and resources.
Practical strategies are linked to challenges with task initiation, working memory, inhibition, regulation, planning, organisation, task monitoring and flexibility.
Our first groups for executive functioning have booked out, however we are taking a waitlist for additional programs to be ran in the holidays.
